Tragedy struck over the weekend at Uratta in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State when a 15-year-old senior secondary school student, identified as Paschal Egbosimba, committed suicide.
Pascal, a native of Ntueke, Ideato South local government area of the state, prior to his death was staying with his mother and siblings at Toronto Junction in Uratta area of the State.
The deceased, a senior secondary school student of Passion Model Secondary School, Egbu area of the State was said to have hanged himself on a ceiling fan using an electric extension cable, when his mother was away for a night vigil.
DAILY POST gathered that the corpse of the deceased has since been removed to an unknown mortuary.
The deceased’s mother was said to have lamented over the demise of Pascal, noting that he had no reason to commit suicide as she never scolded him.
An anonymous police source from the Owerri North Divisional Police Headquarters, Uratta, confirmed the tragedy, saying the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, had already visited the scene of the incident.
